Comprising dedicated doctors, public health professionals, and social innovators, the committee oversees all programs, manages partnerships, and ensures ethical, impactful execution of our initiatives. Their collective experience drives the Foundation’s mission to bridge gaps in healthcare through empathy, evidence, and community engagement.

Dr.V.M.Anantha Eashwar 

Founder and President 

Dr. V.M. Anantha Eashwar is a dedicated public health professional and educator from Chennai. He leads an NGO focused on mental health, elderly care, and holistic community well-being. With a strong belief in grassroots action, he bridges gaps through outreach, research, and innovation. His work empowers individuals with empathy-driven, sustainable health programs. As a mentor, he inspires students to reimagine healthcare beyond hospitals and clinics. He envisions a society where every person lives with dignity, care, and a sense of purpose.

Mrs. V.Jayameena

Vice President

Mrs. V. Jayameena is a passionate plant enthusiast and a core member of our NGO’s outreach team. With a deep love for nature and greenery, she brings healing and joy through eco-friendly initiatives. Her empathy and warmth make her a natural caregiver, especially in programs focused on elderly care. She actively promotes sustainable living, believing plants and people both thrive with nurturing. Through her work, she helps create calming, green spaces that uplift mental and emotional well-being. Her commitment adds a unique blend of compassion and nature to our community health mission.

Dr.Nisha B

General Secretary

Dr. Nisha B is an innovative academic leader and Associate Dean of Research at Saveetha Medical College. She brings expertise in community medicine, clinical trials, and ethical research governance. A mentor to many, she leads PhD programs and drives biosafety-focused clinical research initiatives. With over 30 peer-reviewed publications, her work spans public health, tech, and institutional strategy. She has contributed to national vaccination drives and holds patents and copyrights in health innovation. Widely awarded and respected, she continues to shape future healthcare through evidence-based education.

Dr. C. Sivagurunathan

Joint Secretary

Dr. Sivagurunathan is a seasoned Professor of Community Medicine with over 11 years of experience in undergraduate and 7 years in postgraduate medical education. He has led key public health initiatives, including the 104 Health Helpline and 108 Emergency Medicine Learning Centre in Tamil Nadu. A committed academic mentor, he has guided numerous MD dissertations and nurtured postgraduate research. With 16 peer-reviewed publications, his work spans both national and international journals. He seamlessly integrates classroom teaching with real-world public health action, strengthening preventive care and community engagement. Driven by a passion for impactful healthcare, he champions research-led reforms in the health system.

Dr. Swetha N.B

Executive Committee Member

Dr. Swetha N. B is a dedicated public health professional with over a decade of experience in community medicine, education, and national health initiatives. Her fieldwork spans key programs like Pulse Polio, Mission Indradhanush, Measles-Rubella campaigns, cervical cancer screening, anti-rabies care, and vector control. Actively involved in NHM health camps, Haj Camp services, and Youth Red Cross initiatives, she also champions causes like women’s empowerment, anti-tobacco campaigns, and breastfeeding awareness. Her strong foundation in research methodology and community engagement, combined with a self-driven and team-oriented approach, makes her an invaluable asset.

Dr. Krishna Prasanth B

Executive Committee Member

Dr. Krishna Prasanth is a distinguished academician and public health researcher with a PhD in Community Medicine. With over a decade of experience in field-based research, his work has significantly contributed to understanding the health and social challenges faced by the transgender community. He has authored more than 100 scientific publications in reputed national and international journals, reflecting his commitment to evidence-based advocacy and inclusive health systems. As a valued member of the Advisory Committee, He provides strategic insight and research mentorship, guiding the Foundation’s work to be both socially conscious and scientifically grounded.

Dr.Monica Albert Sekhar

Treasurer

Dr. Monica Albert Sekhar is a dedicated public health professional with an MD in Community Medicine and a passion for youth mental health and adolescent well-being. Born in Hail, Saudi Arabia, she earned her MBBS from Tongji Medical College, Wuhan, where she actively engaged in student leadership, volunteering, and international forums. She later served as a clinician at Catherine Booth Mission Hospital before pursuing postgraduate training at Sree Balaji Medical College, Chennai. Her research and advocacy focus on mental health, adolescent health, and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in India. A true all-rounder, she finds joy in music, poetry, painting, reading, and badminton. Blending empathy with global exposure and creative expression, she strives to make mental health care accessible and youth-friendly.

Dr. Kirubakaran

Dr. Kirubakaran is a distinguished Professor of Community Medicine at Omandurar Government Medical College and a pioneer in medical education in Tamil Nadu. With a career marked by academic excellence and leadership, he currently serves as the General Secretary of TADCOM, playing a key role in shaping the future of public health education in the state. He is known for his commitment to curriculum reform, faculty development, and evidence-based teaching methodologies. Passionate about bridging academics and field practice, he actively mentors students and young professionals to engage in meaningful community health work.  Through his experience and vision, he strengthens the Foundation’s mission to build equitable and sustainable health interventions.

Dr. Pragadeesh Palaniappan is a dedicated public health physician and Senior Resident in Community Medicine at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai. With an M.D. from Sree Balaji Medical College, he combines academic depth with field experience, particularly in geriatric health and non-communicable diseases. His background in oncology, public health research, and multiple Scopus-indexed publications reflects a strong commitment to evidence-based practice. He has presented at national forums and worked across clinical and preventive health domains. Passionate about strengthening primary care and promoting healthy aging, he brings valuable insight to community outreach and health education. At VMDJ Foundation, he aims to build sustainable, targeted health models that serve vulnerable and elderly populations.
