The VMDJ Foundation of Public Health  organized its Embrace Happiness initiative at an old age home run by Dr. Lakshmanan in Pammal, Chennai. As a gesture of care and renewal, the team brought plants from a local nursery to donate, symbolizing growth, life, and lasting companionship.

A hot and cold water dispenser was also donated — a thoughtful addition to support the daily comfort of the elderly, helping them access warm water without the hassle of boiling and enjoy cool water with ease.

Our Chief Consultant, Dr. Hariharan, conducted comprehensive health check-ups for all residents. Dr. Sushmitha and Dr. Monica, as resource persons, carried out a needs assessment and engaged with the inmates, listening with empathy and compassion to their stories and concerns.

The initiative beautifully reflected the Foundation’s mission — to blend healthcare, compassion, and connection — creating a day filled with warmth, understanding, and shared happiness.
